i have a friend who doesn't believe (well, many) but this one in particular has an ill family member living at home. satan is ruler of sickness, and Jesus is the healer who rebuked demons out of people who were ill.

i wanted you to see this passage below:

from the second book of adam and eve:

"when satan, the hater of all good, saw how they continued in prayer, and how God communed with them, and comforted them, and how He had accepted their offering -- satan made an apparition.

he began with transforming his hosts; in his hands was a flashing fire, and they were in a great light.

he then placed his throne near the mouth of the cave because he could not enter into it by reason of their prayers."

(that last paragraph, consider what it means for each of us, and our safety and the safety and health of those in our care, in our homes.)

this is a story of mother's sacrifice during the japan earthquake.
after the earthquake had subsided, when the rescuers reached the ruins of a young woman's house, they saw her dead body through the cracks. but her pose was somehow strange that she knelt on her knees like a person who was worshiping; her body was leaning forward, and her two hands were supporting an object. the collapsed house had crashed her back and her head.
with so many difficulties, the leader of the rescuer team put his hand through a narrow gap on the wall to reach the woman's body. he was hoping that this woman could be still alive. however, the cold and stiff body told him that she had passed away for sure.
he and the rest of the team left this house and were going to search the next collapsed building. for some reason, the team leader was driven by a compelling force to go back to the ruined house of the dead woman. again, he knelt down and used his hand through the narrow cracks to search the little space under the dead body. suddenly, he screamed with excitement, "a child! there is a child!"
the whole team worked together; carefully they removed the piles of ruined objects around the dead woman. there was a 3 month old little boy wrapped in a flowery blanket under his mother's dead body. obviously, the woman had made an ultimate sacrifice for saving her son. when her house was falling, she used her body to make a cover to protect her son. the little boy was still sleeping peacefully when the team leader picked him up.
the medical doctor came quickly to exam the little boy. after he opened the blanket, he saw a cell phone inside the blanket. there was a text message on the screen. it said, "if you can survive, you must remember that i love you." this cell phone was passing around from one hand to another. everybody that read the message wept.
"if you can survive, you must remember that i love you." such is the mother's love for her child!!
so don't waste a day not to say i love you to your parents and loved ones for you may not know one day they will be gone.

the origin of the phrase, seems to go back to observations, that elephants follow the same paths, and even hand down genetic memories of directions, places and grounds, across generations. each elephant clan has a certain burial place, like many human communities, and always help the dying ones get back there, if they are not killed traumatically first.

the most famous example of the tenacity of memory of elephants, is illustrated in the story "elephant walk," which was made into a movie in the 40s, or perhaps early 50s. this is the true story of a british colonial villa which was built across a traditional elephant walk in india. the elephants were confused and enraged to find their way blocked, and every year at the same time, the villa staff would have to defend the villa and deflect the herds around it, so they could get from one side of the offending villa in their traditional migration. finally the elephants could not be dissuaded, and one year in rage, they finally stormed on through the villa, destroying it and killing many of the people, restoring the traditional road.

in addition to their travel and burial patterns, it has been demonstrated in the 20th century that elephants also have a high friendship skill with humans, as well as developing lasting relationships with other elephants, and in fact do remember individuals of the human, and their own species, even when separated for decades.
