(leave out the chicken in recipe, serve with
rice, avocado slices and fried plantain slices)
(serve with just about anything)
also try these amazing signature "hot sauce" recipes..
(or curried chick peas & potato with paratha roti)
side notes of a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle
concerning the above recipes:
in comparison to other vegetables, legumes etc;
chick peas, split peas, plantains & avocados
are very high in protein, and to access most of their
protein, they need to be consumed regularly with cereals,
such as rice, corn and wheat. amazingly, these cereals
can be eaten separately or together, for the same benefits.
personal note:
i am currently a vegetarian, who will soon
turn completely vegan. i presently consume
milk, cheese and butter, but no eggs or
seafood. to be honest, i believe that God
provided us the right to consume meat
as per our needs, and the right to not worry
about what we eat. however, he left
our leaders and overseers in charge, to
make sure that all species
are treated with love and respect.
my goal is to remain vegetarian until
governments everywhere set appropriate laws
to prevent careless acts on land and in
the oceans, until all factory farms have been
shut down, and all mass slaughter has ended.
it has been clearly proven
through extensive research, that
there is more than enough
on this planet to support all existing life
as well as future life, but our problem is
mismanagment and waste.
so now that i know there is hope,
all that is left for me
is to make a change in my own life...
